Use BRAINSFit in a Python in-house software

Hello dear community,

I am looking to use the BRAINSFit registration algorithm in a custom Python software to align cerebral MRIs. Is it possible to implement it in a Python-based software without using Slicer (which is excellent but I cannot use for my project)?

I have already tried several alternative algorithms, including Elastix and its SimpleITK version, but I have not been able to find settings that yield as good performance on the brain.

You could build it standalone, and then call it from Python via subprocess.run or something similar.
