sitk.ReadImage for known deformation fields in dcm

Hi all,

I have a deformation field calculated by a different software in dcm format and I want to import it using simpleITK.
When I use:

dis = sitk.ReadImage(‘dvf.dcm’, sitk.sitkVectorFloat64)

Throws the error:

RuntimeError: Exception thrown in SimpleITK ReadImage: C:\d\VS14-Win64-pkg\SimpleITK\Code\IO\src\sitkImageFileReader.cxx:248:
sitk::ERROR: The file has unsupported 5 dimensions.

Even if I tried also with 3D Slicer, I woud like to import and save the file just with simpleITK.
Is it possible?
Thanks!

This seems like it may be a strangely formatted DICOM file. What software was used to produce this file?

Could you please follow this example to print and share the meta-data for this file:https://simpleitk.readthedocs.io/en/master/Examples/DicomImagePrintTags/Documentation.html

Hello!

Can anyone help us with this issue?

Even we are facing the same issue with 3D dicom file. I mean our error message was “This file has a series with unsupported 3 dimensions”. I have attached the below tags information based on the above link
