Reading an dicom series without the pallete

Hi All,

I have a dicom series with the following tags with bits allocated -16 ,bits stored-12 , High bit -11,PixelRepresentation-0,Photometricinterpresentation- PALLETE_COLOR. I want to read it as gray image without applying the pallete. How do I read it as gray image?
