More than one year later, this bug still exists. The fix by Dzenan and ramen-newdals does work. ITK 5.3.0, gcc 13.3.0.

Three months later, this bug still exists. I tried again on Arch Linux, gcc 14.2.1. The fix is well described in this thread, can we please get a fix?

Here is a PR updating VNL bundled with ITK-master:

As we have limited resources, we can’t maintain many versions of ITK. Community contributions are welcome.
