Hello dear community,

I am looking to use the BRAINSFit registration algorithm in a custom Python software to align cerebral MRIs. Is it possible to implement it in a Python-based software without using Slicer (which is excellent but I cannot use for my project)?

I have already tried several alternative algorithms, including Elastix and its SimpleITK version, but I have not been able to find settings that yield as good performance on the brain.

Thank you very much for your help.
Loïc

You could [build it standalone](https://github.com/BRAINSia/BRAINSTools#building), and then call it from Python via `subprocess.run` or something similar.
