# New external module: ITKTopologyControl

Feel free to try out this new external module: [GitHub - dyollb/ITKTopologyControl: ITK external module to control topology of binary mask regions](https://github.com/dyollb/ITKTopologyControl)
It kind of works like morphological closing, but in the erode phase it preserves the topology of the dilated region. This allows it to close holes in **thin** layers.
A custom mask can be used, which could be used to close user-defined holes.

@dyoll this is a nice module, with a extremely useful filter for cleaning up segmentation, etc! 👏 🥇
Would you consider contributing it to the [main repository Remote module list](https://github.com/InsightSoftwareConsortium/ITK/tree/master/Modules/Remote) to improve exposure to the community?
