Hello, I am trying to read DICOM series and create a 3d volume which will be used inside Unreal Engine. Kindly asking if anyone can advice how to design that kind of integration ?
thanks amir

I assume that Unreal Engine likes the polygonal mesh input, and not volumetric images. For that, you should look into [this example](https://itk.org/ITKExamples/src/IO/GDCM/ReadDICOMSeriesAndWrite3DImage/Documentation.html) for reading DICOM, and [Cuberille](https://github.com/InsightSoftwareConsortium/ITKCuberille) module for converting the image into a mesh, especially its [test](https://github.com/InsightSoftwareConsortium/ITKCuberille/blob/master/test/CuberilleTest01.cxx).

If you were considering using unreal engine for its good virtual reality support, note that [3D Slicer](https://www.slicer.org) can import DICOM images and display them in virtual reality directly. Volume and surface rendering, 2D, 3D, 4D data sets, various interactions are all supported.
