# How to show bones only?

I have an image sequence now, how can only the bones be displayed after 3D reconstruction like the RadiAnt DICOM Viewer?

If you are using volume rendering of CT, you just need to choose a suitable transfer function which makes high-intensity voxels visible. For all other cases, you need to segment the bones. [Segmentation](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Medical_image_computing#Segmentation) is non-trivial in most cases, and is generally an unsolved problem.
