I’m working with microscopy images from lab equipment and want to process/analyze them using ITK. What filters or techniques would you recommend for tasks like cell counting, image segmentation, or noise reduction? Any guidance for someone getting started would be appreciated.

@blowekamp If I remember correctly, you have been working with microscopy images recently.

Hello @Alexia_Fison,

Welcome to the ITK/SimpleITK ecosystem!

Please take a look at the [SimpleITK napari plugin](https://github.com/haesleinhuepf/napari-simpleitk-image-processing) for microscopy related tasks using SimpleITK.

I would recommend exploring the [napari](https://napari.org/) ecosystem and their tutorials before you implement any workflow on your own. This is a modern microscopy image analysis environment. For a more old school solution with many filters and workflows see the [Fiji eco-system](https://imagej.net/learn/). Both are free open source projects so you should be able to modify to your needs.
